You're spot on about the polish, I mean hell, look at the Dark Eldar AI. Soul Storm isn't a bad game in its own right, it was just a step backwards for the series. If it wasn't for the two new races you'd swear Soul Storm had came out first and Dark Crusade was the newer game. Defending your claimed territories just felt so bloody laborious. ![]() If Soul Storm had a campaign that played similar to Dark Crusade it'd have been fine. But the game itself is fine it introduced sister of battle, dark eldar and air units. Soulstorm the only reason for this game lack off respect was due to polish the ballance, automatch and game breaking bugs messed up release. ![]() Also allowed 7 factions to play with and the introduction of necrons and tau. Which will give you different stages of a story which will play out as you progress.ĭark crusades is still better ballanced then soulstorm and took up a risk style single player which can introduce you to all the units and faction which you may face.
